Discovering London mit Annalena Baerbock
Hachz.
Ich hatte doch neulich geschrieben, dass laut Presse Annalena Baerbock im Studium in Hamburg Sinn für das Kneipenwesen gehabt habe.
Schreibt mir einer:
Hallo Herr Danisch.
Ich hatte die elektronische Bibliothek der LSE nach “Baerbock” durchsucht, weil ich dachte “kann nicht to schwer sein”.
Heraus kam genau 1 Dissertation einer Kantz, Carola:
“Precious stones, black gold and the extractive industries: Accounting for the institutional design of multi-stakeholder initiatives”
ProQuest Dissertations Publishing 2008.
Diese gibt es im Volltext hier: http://etheses.lse.ac.uk/2328/ (im Thesis-Server der LSW und nicht über den Publisher)
Baerbock kommt nur in den Acknowledgements vor:
“My warmest thanks go to my friends and the PhD community at LSE who helped me through the ups and downs such a project normally entails. With my friends in Carr-Saunders Hall, Annalena Baerbock, Laure Criqui and Alexis Sztejnhom, I could not only discover my new home, London, but could ease some of my frustration through conversations with them, particularly in the first year”
Liest sich für mich, als hätte ihr Baerbock quasi das Nachtleben Londons gezeigt im ersten Studienjahr.
Interessant auch, dass man für das Korrekturlesen von Kapitel bereit seine Widmung im Acknowledgement bekommt:
“I would like to thank particularly Jonas Meckling who read three chapters of my thesis and provided valuable feedback.”
Ach. Carr-Saunders Hall.
Carr-Saunders Hall is located in Fitzrovia, just off Tottenham Court Road and near Regent’s Park. It is well-placed for the West End and the main attractions of central London including the British Museum.
Was ich jetzt etwas irritierend finde, aber das war damals vielleicht anders, ist das:
Who can book at Carr-Saunders Hall?
Undergraduate students only.
Hä!?
Sie wohnt in einem Studentenwohnheim für Undergraduates und studiert einen Master für Graduates?
Vielleicht eine gewisse situationsbezogene Elastizität in der Selbstdarstellung, wenn es um Bewerbungen geht?
Aber nachdem ja ob diese PhD-Studenten schrieb, dass sie auch da war, könnte das schon passen.
